What you need to apply:

• Cisco Certified Voice Professional (CCVP) – REQUIRED
• 2+ years experience as a network consultant
• 5+ years experience designing and deploying network infrastructures
• Experienced team leader with good coaching techniques
• Expert in large scale LAN and WAN design and deployment
• Thorough understanding of project management techniques
• Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) – R&S / IPC – preferred

BBM Canada is the leading supplier of radio and television audience ratings services to the broadcast advertising industry in Canada. Our membership includes television and radio stations and networks, major advertising agencies, and national advertisers. Our services include a digital broadcast-ready Portable People Meter system and diary surveys for our 100+ radio and television markets. Start Date: mid to end September 2008
Proposed service plan: Installation completed – 4 months (working 100%),Supply on call maintenance after installation-indefinite (working 40% or less)

OVERVIEW OF POSITION
This unique opportunity is responsible for the initial installation and on-going maintenance of PPM (Personal People Meters) Encoding equipment in Network Television and Radio locations, as well as other non-broadcast encoding applications.
Responsibilities:
• Manages the installation and maintenance of equipment at identified stations
• Partners with technical contacts at broadcast facilities to organize placement of equipment for proper operation
• Ensures that equipment is installed correctly and evaluations are completed by the broadcasters on schedule
• Confirms the proper operation of encoding equipment
• Responds to, and corrects encoding problems according to established schedules and protocols
• Evaluates procedures to ensure that they remain current with changes in technology and/or regulatory changes
• Provides support and technical advice to broadcasters on various issues
• Liaises with suppliers/manufacturers for technical information, parts and replacement equipment
• Orders supplies for service calls and installations
• Investigates and repairs faulty units by examining equipment returned from the field, testing and restoring them, as required
• Makes routine decisions within the scope of the job related to encoding or monitoring and refers unusual situations to the Chief Technical Officer
• Must be available to work on short notice, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree in engineering (or equivalent) and a minimum of five years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Have the ability to coordinate multiple individuals to accomplish installation and operational goals. Have a working technical knowledge of TV and radio broadcast facilities, professional audio/video equipment, broadcast system connections, AES and SDI signals and related environments. The successful candidate must be able to work responsibly with minimal supervision to accomplish encoding installations and capable of troubleshooting technical and operational broadcast systems.

We are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Management (SCM) Application Consultant for full-time employment in our Edmonton head office. The position is primarily responsible for providing project management and end-user training for Ormed’s supply chain and e-commerce applications, with the following responsibilities:

Professional Services Tasks

Provide application and business analyst consulting services
Identify solutions through understanding client requirements and researching the options available in our products
Develop Functional specifications for clients
Develop/update project management documentation
Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner including management and escalation of client issues as appropriate

Maintain and enhance application knowledge by attending formal training

Project Management

Conduct Project Workshops and ongoing project management for assigned implementations
Follow Ormed Project Implementation Methodology
Ensure clients are aware of Professional Services charges for all tasks, by forwarding project documentation/guidelines to the client
Contribute to the ongoing development of Ormed Implementation Methodologies and associated documentation
Participated in at least one full cycle implementation
Strong relationship building and communication skills

High regard for customer satisfaction

Assist Business Development Team

Handling Client issues
Maintaining client details on SCM

Provide product demonstrations for both SCM and E-commerce

General

Travel to assist on projects
Promote a positive, proactive and professional work ethic to Ormed customers, partners and staff.
Maintain accurate and timely activity and billing details through Ormed’s time recording application
Prepare your own letters and photocopying
Other duties as requested

Special Projects

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of client service philosophies, and knowledge of business practices and standard policies and procedures as they relate to the product in the area of supply chain and e-commerce. Extensive ORMED MIS Supply Chain Management application knowledge would be a definite asset. Proficiency with personal computer tools, preferably Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Project, is required.
