Specialization: Project Management

Job/Duties/Deliverables:
Our client is in need of a Technical Team Lead for a 9 month contract with a good chance of renewal. The Technical Team Lead is required to oversee the development, design, user interface, technology integration, and site architecture management. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the technology team from definition phase through implementation.

The duties will include:
•use deep understanding of OO design principles to lead configuration of software package solutions
•translate the client’s business requirements into systems design
•work with the client’s IT organization to establish technology strategy at an application level
•facilitate architectural design, database design, and data migration strategy
•establish high, mid and micro level plans and set technical direction for a team of up to 5 people
•lead the estimation effort for projects and work to identify and manage risk
•represent technical expertise

The right candidate will have a broad management experience ranging from application development and systems operations to desktop management and help desk.

Must Have:

• Experience in IT (> 10 years)
• Hands-on software development experience in multi-platform environments (> 10 years)
• Experience managing projects (5- 7 years)
• Degree/Diploma in technology and/or business (Mandatory)

• Strong communcation skills (Mandatory)
