Specialization: Analysis and Design

Job/Duties/Deliverables:
Our client is in need of a Systems Analyst for a Financial Systems Implementation in Richmond. This will be a 6-12 month contract and will be part time, 3 days per week.

The Systems Analyst will assist with the implementation of a Lawson Financials implementation and will be primarily responsible for:
1) Documentation
2) Creating Process Flow Diagrams
3) Testing, including data entry to ensure correct mapping
4) Trouble-shooting financial system processes and queries
5) Assisting with all integration work between old system and Lawson Financials

The Systems Analyst develops, recommends and implements changes to accounting system including computer applications. They will assist data processing and accounting staff in interpreting and implementing internal controls and accounting system changes, and work with external auditors in verifying and assessing internal controls and implementing changes. They will also be responsible for maintaining general ledger posting and reporting system.

Must Have:

• Experience in Business/Systems Analysis (5- 7 years)
• Process Flow Diagrams (Mandatory)
• Testing (Mandatory)
• Strong documentation skills (Mandatory)
• Accounting knowledge (Mandatory)

• Systems Implementation Experience (Mandatory)

Nice To Have:

• Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CGA, CMA)

Work Environment:

• Richmond; 3 days per week; Flexible Hours
