Job/Duties/Deliverables:
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to perform activities related to the evaluation / selection of a software license management product. Also included within the scope of the project is the analysis of the current software license management processes and the identification of the changes in processes that will be required to facilitate the implementation of a software license management product.

Scope of Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis include the following activities: ***Identify/document a software license management roadmap. ***Review the current end-to-end software license management business processes and identify the changes that will be required to align the processes with the implementation of a software license management toolset. ***Document the proposed end-to-end software license management processes that will be used with the selected toolset; *Identify / document a proposed strategy / approach for software license harvesting. ***Review the list of software titles that are currently being reported in the monthly software license reports, and identify a strategy / process for managing / updating the software title list. ***Review the existing software license agreements and consolidate / store the information into a single, central electronic repository that will facilitate the reporting of the software license information and the importing of the information into the selected toolset. ***Identify the software license agreement related data requirements for the software license management toolset. ***Compare the existing deployed software licenses with the current / active software license agreements. ***Identify any software procurement cost savings / avoidance that can be achieved through software license agreement consolidation / termination / renewal. ***Document the requirements, goals, and evaluation / selection criteria for the software license management product.

Product Evaluation will include the following activities: ***Conduct a rapid market analysis of the software license management products that are currently available. ***Identify 2 products that closely meet the approved product requirements, for which a detailed product evaluation will occur. ***Participate in the on-site manufacturer product demonstration / evaluation review sessions. ***Participate in the evaluation of the software license management products. ***Prepare an evaluation report, identifying the recommended software license management product.

Must Have:

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis (5- 7 years)
  • Experience in evaluation / selection of a software license management product (2 – 4 years)
  • Self-starter; Team player who is also able to work independently (Mandatory)
  • Effective interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization (Mandatory)
