Specialization: Network and Infrastructure

Job/Duties/Deliverables:
Our client is looking for someone who will manage the Service Desk team consisting of the service desk and desktop support functions. Provides recommendations into the preparation of the department budget. Oversees the day-to-day execution of incident processes. Provides advice, guidance and daily operational support to end users. Manages the process for creation of user accounts. Defines and directs projects related to improving Service Desk functions. Establishes policies and processes to provide efficient and effective remote support to end users. Liaises with the Production Control Team Manager to assess incidents. Manages the deployment and maintenance of PC’s and printers and reviews the processes and contracts for external PC procurement and support. Manages the physical installation and deployment of new servers by following procedures and scripts developed by the Operations Support team. Liaises with external vendors and consultants to augment internal services
Microsoft Environment

Must Have:

  • Degree in computer science or related field (Mandatory)
  • Supervising and directing staff in a unionized environment (Mandatory)
  • Service desk, desktop support (5- 7 years)
  • Network infrastructure and operations (2 – 4 years)
  • Applications Support (2 – 4 years)

Work Environment:

  • Surrey full time
