The IT Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the contract repository and compliance. The position provides a “check and balance” to ensure the consistent utilization of defined contract management processes. Main responsibilities also include the support and execution of the purchasing functions for technology purchases for projects/customers IT purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate contract set up activities performed by contract managers:

- Know, understand and follow global and regional/local procurement policies, levels of approval and list of official providers/vendors

- Execution of purchase orders, checkpoint with Accenture official supplier relationships to provide the best option to cover the purchase requirements

- Send the purchase order to the selected provider/vendor upon approval of purchase request

- Follow up and resolve issues related with the purchase order

- Source and acquire IT products and services for all on behalf of Project Galaxy and Project Mercury. This includes verifying approvals, sourcing products with selected suppliers, obtaining pricing and product availability, creating purchase orders, tracking orders, receiving of equipment and verifying receipts and payments.

- Responsibility for auditing and ensuring proper documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and contracts comply with the clients finance policies and Sarbanes Oxly requirements.

- Research, authorize, validate, and account coding of invoices and purchase orders against Oracle ID’s to ensure that costs are properly coded and charged to projects and prepaid accounts.

- Manage and escalate issues based on project team, and/or senor leadership priority.

- Deliver high standards of ‘customer service’ by providing timely customer communication. Provide direction and communications to customers on approvals/controls, purchasing processes and procedures, and product updates.

- Process IT non-merchandise invoices, as needed, and verify that proper coding and approvals are obtained. Manage monthly payment timeliness and ensure payments are made in the appropriate time period.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or university equivalent is required

Work Experience: 3 years + experience, Purchase Order Management and execution experience preferred
