Job Description:

Reporting to the respective Manager, Business Systems, this position will be responsible for managing software asset and asset relationship in the Banking, Card, and Distribution Channel (BCD) department. The candidate will need to provide consultation and support to BCD/regional engineering teams to capture and analyze the software assets (applications) that are being produced or have been delivered. Working in a team environment, the candidate is expected to recommend and refine asset management solutions and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Provide professional consulting services to engineering teams related to Asset Library input and output processes.
· Identify and engage all key stakeholders. Co-ordinate Asset Library enhancement, asset standard definition, and inter-asset relationship management activities.
· If necessary, facilitate ‘asset’ discussion meetings with stakeholders and drive agreement.
· Provide guidance to engineering teams to follow agreed software asset standards.
· Produce reports on captured software assets. Enable engineering teams and management teams to have a holistic view of the software assets that are being produced or have been produced.
· Apply professional analysis to software assets that have been captured in Asset Library. Identify risks and potential ever greening areas, and provide recommendations.
· Communicate clearly with all involved parties. Recommend, plan and execute effective communication strategy. Deliver clear documentation and presentation materials.
· Act as an intermediary between engineering and architecture teams regarding software assets and standards.
· Provide recommendations and solutions to improve the asset management function.
· Remain current on Group standards and key architecture areas.
· Cultivate an environment that supports diversity. Support team initiatives and other team members’ responsibilities.

Qualifications/Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience in related fields.
· Extensive experience with software development and/or application architecture is a definite asset.
· Strong interpersonal/communication skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the Banking, Card, and Distribution Channel (BCD) department and regional teams.
· Ability to multi-task and work independently. Resourceful and self-motivated to work efficiently within a small team.
· Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to quickly acquire knowledge.
· Knowledge of web based application development.
