You are a Senior Business Intelligence Application Architect with strong leadership, management and technical design skills. Your extensive experience in the area of Business Intelligence has provided you with an impressive list of successful implementations. Your area of specialization is Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing with vast experience in the areas of technical architecture, eBusiness (B2C and B2B), Enterprise Application Integration and Service Oriented Architecture.

In your role with IBM you will architect and design complex systems and leading-edge solutions, and provide technical leadership in the design and architecture work for large/complex technical projects. You will be expected to maintain technical knowledge in all areas of BI solutions or products, industry trends, competitive offerings, and be able to apply this knowledge to the business needs of customers.

You will be responsible for all architectural design, development and deployment of cost effective and sustainable business intelligence technical and application solutions to meet business requirements.

As an Business Intelligence Solutions Architect, you have high-level responsibility for the architecture, design, development and deployment of enterprise BI solutions. You will provide a leadership role on technical teams and handle the most complex business intelligence analytics, application architecture design, project management issues and technical challenges. You will also work with management and cross-functional peers on long-range projects requiring creative solutions.

Experience managing numerous tracks for an implementation and familiarity with an established implementation methodology

• Be able to translate BI business requirements using complex methods/models to determine appropriate application architecture, solutions, and related data needs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to technical teams on BI architecture design, metadata design, analytics model and BI application design.
• Work within a cross-functional team to provide technical expertise in the design and planning of BI solutions.
• As the subject matter expert for the department, provide management with status updates and recommendations; and strategy planning support.
• Closely partner with BI application teams to make sure all BI applications are aligned within integrated BI application architecture and framework.

• Identify, test, certify, and select technology products required for solution delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in BI metadata management, modeling, performance tuning, security, business oriented analytics, reporting, OLAP, operational reporting etc.
• Minimum 5-7 years in systems integration consulting experience in planning, architecting and implementing solutions for enterprise-wide systems.
• 5-7 plus years of progressively responsible experience in BI development including designing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining multi-tier applications.
• Must have experience working with large scale enterprise data warehouse.
• Experience with architectural design of large-scale, highly reliable, and highly available solutions including multi platform integration.
• Experience with Front-end and ETL tools, including, but not limited to, Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion Intelligence, Essbase, Ascential and Informatica.
• Experience with physical and logical database design/Modeling.
• Database administration knowledge with Oracle, SQLServer or DB2 UDB.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator (sales oriented in approach).

• Good writing skills and an ability to multi task in the support of multiple sales reps, opportunities and projects. Experience with all phases of development life cycle methodologies.
