Due to phenomenal growth and an increasing demand in the marketplace, Absolute Software is looking for a results driven, self motivated Program Manager to join our growing development team in Vancouver, BC, who is adept at creating high-quality software requirements and has a record of successfully managing software development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis
• Business process modeling – document as-is and to-be workflow
• Elicit and document structured software requirements
• Collaborate with developers to translate requirements into design

Project Management
• Plan and manage software development projects
• Work with Development and QA to estimate project effort and costs and to build project budgets and plans
• Monitor and report project status and take corrective action as required

Application Support
• Work with Development and IT to prioritize and trouble-shoot issues as required
• Create/Maintain product documentation including system requirements, release notes and training documents.

Required Skills and Experience

• 8+ years in the software industry
• A firm understanding of general business processes (e.g. finance, procurement, etc.)
• 5+ years business/systems analysis and business process modeling experience
• Demonstrated ability to specify software requirements in UML
• 4+ years managing projects of various scope and durations through the entire SDLC with a demonstrated record of on-time and on-budget delivery
• 4+ years using Microsoft Project (or related software)
• 3+ years database reporting using Crystal Reports or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize

Assets
• Exposure to software-as-a-service delivery models
• Software development or quality assurance experience
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with XML
• CBAP and/or PMP certification

Education
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical or business discipline
