Mobidia is looking for a passionate and talented Director of Product Management.

An innovative company, based in Richmond, BC, Mobidia is enabling and delivering the next generation of IP services on mobile phones and connected laptops. Their talented team has expertise in RF communication and mobile phone platforms and experience at companies such as Motorola, AT&T, Ericsson, Microsoft, Intrinsyc, and MDSI. They are well-funded and growing quickly and need strong leaders to help contribute to the company's success.

As Director of Product Management, you will help define the product feature sets and overall roadmap by identifying and articulating market requirements and prioritizing resources and releases appropriately. You will be responsible for crafting the vision and plans for the next generation of Mobidia's IP data traffic management solution.

Key Responsibilities include:

Playing a leadership role in driving all product management functions for Mobidia’s products and product strategies.

Aggregating and prioritizing wireless operators’ feature requests and requirements and aligning them with the company's strategic business goals.

Defining key OSS/BSS integration points and determining the custom and standard interfaces required for deployment.

Delivering and contributing to a number of product marketing requirement documents (MRDs).

Defining existing and vNext product feature sets and roadmap and guiding the company to successfully deliver on that plan.

Enhancing the product planning process, documentation, and delivery cycles.

Acting as the product and market expert.

Bridging sales & marketing with engineering teams.

Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:

Experience with traffic management, deep packet inspection, network compression, network routing, or inline network gateways a must.

In-depth knowledge and understanding of carrier’s core networks, radio access networks, and OSSBSS technologies, standards-based policy frameworks.

Knowledge of wireless data network architecture, including 3GPP standards.

Experience shipping or deploying carrier-grade server or network technology.

A demonstrated track record of individual success and effective team contributions

Minimum of 8-10 years experience as a product manager with a telecommunications company or vendor.

An entrepreneurial spirit with a comfort for ambiguity and a dynamic environment

Independent work style that is both results and detailed oriented.

Education in the technical and/or business domains. MBA a plus.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and flexibility to travel periodically.
