SYSTEMS SUPPORT TECHNOLOGIST – SERVICE DESK – Competition Number 08-73A

The Information & Education Technology department at Kwantlen University College has an opening for Systems Support Technologist for our Service Desk. In this role, you will provide computer support services to students and employee users of Kwantlen information systems. You will receive user requests, identify, analyze, diagnose and resolve system problems, escalate and follow up on issues and maintain user call records in a service system database. You will also install, test and troubleshoot hardware, peripherals and software, and provide training to users as needed.

The successful candidate will have superior communication skills and thorough knowledge of MS Windows operating systems and standard desktop applications. A Computer Systems Technology diploma or degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ recent related experience is required.
