My client, a key player in the not-for-profit health insurance sector here in Vancouver currently has an exciting and challenging opening for a skilled Systems Architect to join their team. The Role

In the role of Systems Architect, you will be working closely with the development and implementation team, giving them leadership and guidance on the implementation of data and technical architectures within the designed framework. Other responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- List detailed requirements
- Create specifications according to requirements
- Design overview of structured framework
- Produce specified technical architecture model
- Maintain the software data model process
- Conduct software reviews
- Provide technical leadership across projects
- Ensure functionality standards are met
- Collaborate with programmers and QA on functionality

The Requirements

- Minimum 4 years exp at Systems Architect level
- Minimum 3 years development exp
- Excellent knowledge of Rational Unified Process
- Excellent object orientated design and development exp
- Strong skills with Java development tools
- Good understanding of ITIL
- Experienced in both Windows and LINUX environments
- Skilled with Application integration techniques
- Skilled with service Oriented Architectures
- Database Oracle and PL/SQL
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
