full time Senior Exchange Administrator

at TRS Contract Consulting Group in Vancouver

On behalf of our large enterprise client TRS Contract Consulting Group is currently searching for a Senior Exchange Administrator for a permanent full-time position in Vancouver. YOU have excellent communication and team work skills. YOU will be a key member of a small team launching a very exciting new Corporate Messaging & Collaboration service built around Exchange 2007, SharePoint 2007, Mimosa NearPoint and VMware.

Responsibilities
• Systems administration and provisioning of Exchange, SharePoint and NearPoint Servers, including data backup and restoration
• Pre- and post-sale consulting with customers on proper setup and administration of their services
• Migration of customer data from PST files and Exchange 5.5-2003
• Problem resolution involving both customers and internal support groups
• Pager duty required for 7X24 operational support – 1 week in 4
• Travel to customer sites within Canada – < 33% out of town

Skills/Experience

Required
• Minimum 4 years Exchange experience
• MCSE with Messaging Specialization
• In-depth knowledge of operating email services and supporting end-user issues
• Operational experience in a 7X24, mission-critical support environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Hosted Messaging and Collaboration best practice recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills

Desirable
• VMware experience
• Email archiving experience, including familiarity with compliance requirements
• Experience with Sharepoint and Live Communications Server
• Experience implementing/maintaining multiple Exchange servers
