NetOp's Device Interface team is looking for an enthusiastic, intermediate level Software Designer with the flexibility to work both on higher level network element management solutions as well as lower level networking device software. Reporting to our NetOp Device Interface software development manager, you will be part of a team creating flexible interfaces into the industry leading SmartEdge product line of Redback Networks, an Ericsson Company. Strong abilities in data modelling and abstraction of interfaces is a definite asset. You are a highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and an excellent team player. You have good understanding of project life cycle and release procedures.

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing the highest quality products.

Job Requirements
=============

Required Skills/Experience with:
- 3 to 7 years of relevant software development experience with Java and C/C++.
- Experience in programming in a multi-threaded environment.
- Good understanding of data modeling concepts.
- You will design, implement and validate features for the NetOp EMS product line.
- Good oral and written communication skills

Desired Skills/Experience with:
- Knowledge of network management solutions.
- Familiarity with source code control systems such as CVS.
- SOAP
- XML/XSD/XSLT
- IntelliJ
- XMLSpy
- CORBA
- JDK1.6

Education Requirements
==================
You will have a B.Sc. Computer Science or the equivalent degree and a minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant industrial software development experience.
