Job Description:

Reporting to our development manager, you will have proven experience in application development on UNIX platforms. You must have proven experience in software development using Java, JEE, SQL, scripting languages, C++ and SQL for high performance distributed systems. You should be proficient with OO analysis and design, Software Engineering “best practices” and configuration management (CM) systems, such as CVS. Past experience with telecommunication equipment and/or network/element management solutions is a definite asset.

As the qualified candidate you will have a B.Sc. Computer Science or the equivalent degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial software development experience.

You are a team player and a highly motivated & result-oriented person with excellent written and oral communication skills.

You have good understanding of the Software Development project life cycle and release procedures, with good judgment in balancing priorities.

You have strong problem solving skills and a keen ability to “think outside of the box”.

As the successful candidate you have demonstrated strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing the highest quality products.

The following describes some of the job responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, implementing and testing NetOp system level features across our network management and policy management products

• Responsible for analyzing requirements and documenting the requirements and design

• Responsible for design and code reviews.

• Responsible for implementation of Java and C++ code and/or code in other languages such as PERL, SQL, XML, XSD...etc.

• Responsible for unit and integration testing of features to produce a high quality result.

The following skills are definite assets:

• Knowledge and experience with SOAP, XML, XSD and web programming

• Knowledge and experience on maintaining CM branches and/or systems

• Knowledge and experience on routing and network management solutions

• Past experience with implementing installation, upgrade and configuration solutions
