Job Description:

Redback Networks, an Ericsson Company is seeking a System Software Design Engineer to join our Platform Software Team in Burnaby, B.C. As a contributing member of this team, you will help design, implement and enhance the Redback broadband aggregation product. Candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of features in the SmartEdge OS software. Provide extensions and enhancements to the SmartEdge OS libraries. Analyze defect reports and provide patches when required

This position requires a strong aptitude for software design and networking. Experience in the development of software is an asset. Experience with transport/routing products is desired. Experience with ATM and/or ENET products would be an asset. Experience in networking, threaded programming environments and hands-on expertise with one or more RTOS is also very desirable. Candidates for this position should have 3 to 5 years industry experience as well a BS/MS in a related discipline is required
