We are looking to recruit a dynamic and talented senior database administrator to join the development team of our new Web 2.0 product. The major task is to design, develop and maintain the database of a high-availability database serving millions of users.

Required Skills and Experience:
• 7 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of database administration experience.
• 3 years of MySQL database administration experience with at least 1 year experience specifically with MySQL v5.0.
• 5 years experience and in-depth knowledge of Linux.
• Proficient in SQL Scripts and creating Stored Procedures.
• Experience with performance tuning, replication and high availability systems.
• Technically fluent in database programming languages, including SQL and PL/SQL.
• Meticulous eye for detail.
• Experience in a busy environment with the ability to cope with competing priorities.

Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelors’ degree in Computing Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
• MySQL 5.0 CMDBA certification.
• Experience with DRBD and Linux-HA.
• Experience as a Linux system administrator.
• Experience working with Apache servers and with LAMP stacks.
