Job Description:

Corinex Communications Corp is a multinational, Vancouver based, global leader in the development & distribution of networking products based on Broadband over Powerline technology. Our products enable Service Providers and their customers to stream multiple channels of Video (IPTV), Voice (VoIP) & Data over electrical wiring and coaxial cabling within buildings, homes, and over utility Power Grids.

We are looking for two Junior Software Engineers to join our NMS development team. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle from requirements analysis through to manufacturing hand-off.

You must have at least 2 years experience working with software, primarily C++. Your background should include experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux development.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for all aspects of the system development life cycle
• Develop new applications as required (including requirements analysis, design, coding, and system testing)
• Comply with in-house standards and industry best practices for coding and development methodology
• Prepare or revise documentation for new and existing applications
• Architecture, detailed design and development
• Specification development

Qualifications:
• Strong application development and modeling abilities
• Good understanding of IP networks and basic understanding of routing and configuration
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated understanding and application of software development methodologies
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a strong team player
• Good organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English

Education and/or Experience:
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 2+ years experience with software programming
• Strong experience in:
- C++
- GUI development
- UML or other OO process and notation
- SNMP, TCP/IP application design and implementation
- Linux and mainstream RTOS
- Microsoft Window development
• Desirable experience in:
- Microsoft ASP, C
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VB Script, XML, XSLT
- SQL and Oracle
- ARM processors
- TI or Conexant processors
