Duration: 1yr contract - special project

This position requires a self starter who enjoys working with real world customer applications along with creating test applications that push the boundaries of our FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Human Machine Interface (HMI) product. You will test how customers use FactoryTalk View Machine Edition in order to determine how individual features of the product affect performance in various architectural scenarios. The end goal is to build a set of sales/design guidance tools that will better allow our Sales force deliver the right architectural solutions and allow our end customers to design applications that have exceptional performance.

This position will require excellent written and interpersonal communications skills as the successful candidate will be required to work with various Commercial Engineering and Development groups both locally and remotely.

Working with members of the Commercial Engineering team, the candidate will develop, conduct and document various performance tests using our FactoryTalk View ME Human Machine Interface (HMI) product along with ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogic, SLC and PLC-5 processors running on Ethernet, ControlNet and DH+ communications architectures.

The position may also require direct involvement with pre and post sales activities under the direct of a senior Commercial Engineer in order to better understand how customers use the product.

The position will also require the development of tools using VB or C++ in order to either perform further tests or develop the performance guidance tools that can be delivered to the sales force and end customers.
