1. Responsible for Elastic Path Service’s overall management of Supply Chain Compliance (Vendor Compliance and Packing). Look for ways to create optimal packing strategies & leveraging available tools. Capitalize on cost savings opportunities while preserving Inventory Management (warehouse logistics; shipping and receiving) and Product Integrity strategies. Proactively identifies opportunities and leverages appropriate resources to create solutions. Work cross-functionally influencing management within Logistics and Vendor communities.
2. Develop the Vendor Compliance Program including communication of standards, cross functional training, maintaining tools and systems and managing related expense recoveries
3. Drive vendor change through compliance management; administrates questions and expense recovery disputes
4. Analyze trends and processes end to end in the client’s Supply Chain to determine opportunities to drive further change
5. Partner with internal stakeholders and Canada Post to ensure packing optimization. Maintenance of tools, related compliance reporting and maintaining the packing email boxes as a central repository of knowledge
6. Recommend process improvements

What kind of background is required to thrive in this position?

• Masters or Bachelors degree in related field
• 5 to 7 years of management experience in Inventory Management, Vendor Management and/or Supply Chain Optimization/Packaging
• Detailed understanding of inventory management and the supply chain implications related to packing and executing these strategies – retail experience is highly preferred
• Organizational agility; able to influence across all levels of organization
• Demonstrated problem-solving; ability to formulate and implement action plans
• Experience in sourcing, vendor management and/or production operations preferred.
• Proven capability in data analytics and use of related tools, i.e., MS Excel

The Product Manager is in charge of a product line contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. The PM will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. The PM must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. A PM must enjoy spending time in the market to understand their problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. A PM must be able to communicate with all areas of the company, and will work with an engineering counterpart to define product release requirements. A PM will also work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. The PM also serves as the internal and external liaison for a product, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits and phone calls to customers and non-customers.
• Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.
• Work with Marketing to produce product collateral and sales tools.
• Train both Sales and Technical Support in the use and operations of the product.
• Occasionally support Sales team during the sale process including possible assistance in the demonstration and deployment of the product (typically only for large opportunities or key customers).
• Attend Trade Shows and make presentations as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
• Demonstrated understanding of software commerce, software development and product life cycle
• Confidence and ability to interface professionally with a wide spectrum of customers
• Excellent writing, communications, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Polish and professionalism in creating and delivering presentations and training sessions to a diverse set of groups, customizing to suit the audience
• Ability to effectively conduct formal and informal training sessions or presentations
• Solid multi-tasking and problem resolution abilities
• Ability to effectively and efficiently instruct and guide customers on-site, online, and via telephone is essential
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and partner effectively within and outside your immediate team to achieve desired business results

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager in an Enterprise Software company
• Demonstrated experience with Desktop management solutions – SMS, Zen Works, Altiris, LANDesk, etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of computer networking and IT Administration
• Demonstrated understanding of the latest software technologies, trends and strategies
• Completion of Pragmatic Marketing’s “Practical Product Management” course is a plus
• Tradeshow experience
• Ability to travel
• Must maintain a valid passport at all times
