Job Description

The Web Marketing Specialist will be an energetic, creative professional who works efficiently and has a passion for online marketing. The successful candidate will be a team player who enjoys learning – and sharing – successful techniques as we climb the sales learning curve. Specific responsibilities within the marketing and sales funnel:
Website Development and Operation
• Design, build and manage the LGM website.
• Maximize marketing performance by increasing LGM’s web
presence and optimizing search engine results and website
ranking.
• Measure website traffic and activity to continually
improve hit volume and quality, use-ability and marketing
performance.
• Improve the design and operation of the LGM website by
internal feedback, customer surveys and researching
competitor sites.
Online Campaigns
• Develop and maintain a list of prospective US and Canadian
clients.
• Make contact with prospects and generate quality leads
using targeted methods like email, e-newsletters,
referrals and web links.
• Conduct ongoing market analysis and competitive research
to assist the sales team and improve the business strategy
of LGM.
Online Collateral
• Work with the sales team to develop online demos and
webinars.
• Write sales collateral in the form of case studies and
whitepapers.
• Develop corporate materials including presentations that
ensure a consistent identity.

Required experience and abilities:
• Current experience of online marketing practices and
trends.
• Understanding of the funnel approach to marketing and
sales.
• Expertise in search engine optimization, web navigation
and user habits.
• Self-directed and able to work independently while still
part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a positive, problem solving mindset.
• Desire to work in a rapid growth environment that
generates a high level of activity and requires
professionalism, confidentiality, efficiency, flexibility
and teamwork.

Technical Skills:
• Experience working with databases.
• Familiar with productivity tools including Office and
SalesForce.
• Knowledge of Internet, website and design tools such as:
PHP, XML, XHTML, DHTML, HTML.
JavaScript, Ajax, Flash and web services.
Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, FrontPage, PageMaker.
SubVersion, WRSP and Visio would be an asset.

Preferred qualifications and experience:
• Degree or equivalent in marketing, web/internet/e-
marketing or related field.
• Marketing communication skills especially writing B2B copy.
• Experience working with web apps and SaaS solutions.

Start date: First week of November or sooner.
