Through research, development and innovation, our company has proven itself as a market leader in video production and interactive media. Due to our continuous growth, we are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Interactive Media Designer able to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: – Bring preliminary design concepts from mock-up to implementation – Communicate with a team of artists and programmers to ensure the creative vision is fulfilled – Collaborate with the design team and programmers to create innovative ideas/concepts – Work well with little supervision – Liaise with clients when applicable – Modify and maintain existing projects

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: – Extensive experience in web design & development – Evidence of a keen eye for design – Ability to manage multiple projects and deal with tight deadlines

We are currently looking for an UI Designer that will be a driving force in setting new UI standards and paradigms. The success candidate will be passionate about great design, innovative solutions, and intuitive user experiences. As a member of the UXD (User Experience Design) team, the incumbent will work closely with product managers, engineers, and management to visually and creatively take product ideas to concept through wireframes and mockups. This individual needs to be a self-starter who enjoys working in collaborative environments, takes direction and criticism openly, and are able to contribute to the creative spirit of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Concrete understanding of UCD, usability and HCI principles and techniques, especially as related to GUI design for web applications.
• Amazing analytical skills – ability to identify existing usability challenges. Experience performing heuristic evaluations and usability tests, as well as documenting results and translating the findings into design improvements.
• Experience in leading the UX-design stages of software development.
• Ability to work with stakeholders and the Engineering team to gather requirements, help define the overall user experience strategy, create the interaction model, architect effective solutions using wireframes solutions and prototypes, iterate upon them, and then proceed to work with a team to implement the same.
• Be willing to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve and streamline the user experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 5 years experience designing user interfaces for Web and/or collaborative applications
• Good knowledge of Web standards, the DOM, cross-browser & cross-platform (X)HTML/CSS/AJAX and Tapestry.
• Information design & navigation systems
• Application workflow diagramming
• Wire-framing & schematics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and often intense project environment
• Extreme level of attention to detail

EDUCATION

Post-secondary education in Programming, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field.

Software Implementation – Enterprise Software Consultant

The role requires implementation of our solutions at customer sites throughout North America.

This is a 75% travel position, so please don’t apply – unless you are willing to do this much travelling.

You will be participating in the full life cycle of a client product implementation, which may include business analysis, technical requirements gathering and specification, software installation, system configuration, product design and customization, enterprise application integration, and solution testing.

Implementation of solutions within customer environments (installation, configuration, data transformations, etc.)
To effectively troubleshoot errors, performance, security and configuration issues encountered by customers during implementation
To extract, manipulate, clean and import data from customer source systems
To consult with and train clients in activities revolving around the implementation of the solution
To support clients by email, phone and on-site
Assisting the project manager to ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget and exceeds the client’s expectations

What you need to apply:
Required Skill/Experience Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
A university degree in Computer Science or related is a definite asset
Ability to multi-task and take initiative in an unsupervised environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to convey complex ideas to a variety of functional and technical audiences

Exposure to a wide range of technologies including enterprise application integration, database design and configuration, web applications, operating platforms, security and networking
Experience with SAP technologies (NetWeaver, R/3 and/or ECC, XI) is a definite asset
Working experience with UNIX (Sun, Solaris and HP preferred) and Windows NT
Administrative and SQL experience with Oracle, MS SQL or DB2
Experience with data extraction, transformation and loading from various legacy and enterprise applications
Working experience with Java and Internet development languages
Familiarity with HTML, XML, XSL, JavaScript
Previous client facing software-consulting experience
